Ankle Strapping

This session will deal with types of tape, and the basic principles of strapping any injured joint. These principles will then be applied to strapping the ankle for comfort, and protection and to allow mobilisation. Be prepared to bare your ankles and get involved. One shaved ankle may make things more comfortable but for the hirsute or sensitive of skin we will try to provide underwrap.

Shoulder Examination

Shoulder examination can be simple. This session will explain the simplest tests for differentiating between the most common causes of shoulder pain presenting to your practice.

Knee Examination

This workshop will present a simple way of assessing the injured knee. The knee will be divided up into three compartments - Ligaments, Cartilages, and The Extensor Mechanism. Clinical tests will be demonstrated and discussed. All participants will be expected to take part, both as the clinician and as the patient. Please make sure that you wear attire that can be raised to the mid thigh, or bring a pair of shorts - “just above the knee” is not good enough.
