Biography: Raina Elley is a senior lecturer at the School of Population Health, University of Auckland and a general practitioner in South Auckland. Her research involves lifestyle interventions in primary health care for falls prevention, increasing physical activity, reducing cardiovascular risk and improving diabetes management. She recently led the Falls Assessment Clinical Trial (FACT) assessing the effectiveness of a community-based multi-factorial nurse-led intervention to reduce falls in older adults who had fallen previously. |
